About the Pregnancy Due Date Calculator
This calculator helps you estimate your due date and track important pregnancy milestones. While only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date, most are born within two weeks before or after.
Calculation Methods
Last Menstrual Period (LMP)
The most common method, based on Naegele's rule. It calculates 40 weeks from the first day of your last period, assuming a 28-day cycle with ovulation on day 14.
Conception Date
If you know when conception occurred, this method adds 266 days (38 weeks) to that date. This is useful for IVF pregnancies or if you were tracking ovulation.
Ultrasound Dating
Uses measurements from an early ultrasound to determine gestational age. This is often considered the most accurate method, especially if done in the first trimester.
